Valentine’s Madness

We all have our own opinions about Valentine’s Day. That is not what this post is about.

This post is about the ridiculous candy that can be found on the shelves in connection with Valentine’s Day. For example:

Disgusting Marshmallow Treats:

Novelty Shaped Chocolates:

Yes, that is a horseshoe that says “Feeling Lucky?”

Seriously, someone is going to put this on their face and it is going to melt into their eyes!

Who wants a purse that you can’t store anything in?

Again, someone is seriously going to try to strike these and light a fire.

I know I don’t have to explain my aversion to this one:

And finally, the two most ridiculous chocolate candy figures I have ever seen, “Rich” and “Candy.” Chocolate people dressed in underwear. It makes you wonder where I saw these, doesn’t it? Not where you think. I saw them at Target. No lie. Right above the chocolate frog.

It’s sad when not a single one of those pictures make me actually want to eat chocolate. Usually it doesn’t take much to start a craving! But you’re right–those are weird. Silly consumerism. 🙂
