And Since I Was Quite Certain No One Would Believe Me . . .

. . . I took pictures.

Yes, that is a black rabbit, and he was in my backyard last night. I named him Bugs because I’m not that creative. Isn’t he adorable?

Awww…so cute. As I was walking up the hill this morning, a jackrabbit walked alongside me for a bit. It was so cute! Of course, it wasn’t black, so it wasn’t quite as cool as your new little friend, but it was still fun.

I haven’t seen Bugs again, but his cousin, who is a small brown rabbit that I’ve named Muggs, won’t stay out of our garden. He’s cute, but if he eats my purple-hull peas, he’s stew!

Bugs is probably the offspring of an escapee — rabbits can even be pink, lilac, and orange (I often see the pink ones, but no one else seems to)
